In the most high-profile case, David Cameron, the Tory party leader, was forced to sack his frontbench spokesman on homeland security, Patrick Mercer, because he suggested that being called a "black bastard" was part and parcel of life in the Army for ethnic minority soldiers.

Basic Training should involve a bit of Button Pushing, and such talk may also be a polite invitation to "Athletic Interaction." What kind of Bastard would you rather be called? Senior personell shouldn't be calling subordinates Bastards, of any sort. Bastardy has to be earned. Arawn Would anyone be interested in the Holy Grail, or do people just want to talk about it?
