OMG I have just discovered what Herring Milts really are !!! and I have been eating them for years on toast.
milt: The seminal fluid; gonads (testes) from male fish, often called soft roe; sold fresh, canned, particularly milts from herring, mackerel, etc. When released into the water often creating a cloudy effect, either over a small area or in massive spawnings visible from the air.

I eat fish milts they are very very tasty especially if they are cooked in fresh Ghee

We used to have herring roes a lot when I was a child.
You could buy herrings cheaply at the local fishmongers which seem to have disappeared now.

Well, we also eat roe which is fish eggs (taramasalata, yummy) and caviar, and drink the lactic fluids of cows and sheep, we eat the secretions of bees intended for their grubs, why are you shocked? Go look up what 'sweetmeats' really are and then go eat some.
When I saw your subject headr I thought you were refering to one of the (human) sperm eating cults or initiation rites.

I think should have read sweetbreads though? A lot of people think they are testicles but apparently they are either the thymus glands or parts of the pancreas of a lamb.
